Most organizations have training.
Few have a
learning system.

Ruedin Learning & Performance helps organizations move from scattered or informal training to a coherent, measurable learning system that builds real organizational capability:  whether that system trains your own people, issues a credential your organization owns, or delivers training that answers to someone else's external standard.

OUR APPROACH

Performance-centered

We start with the business or performance gap, not the assumption that training is the answer. That distinction matters: most training fails not because it was poorly designed, but because it was solving the wrong problem. We find the right one before we design anything.

System-oriented

A real learning system connects things that are usually treated separately:  strategy, curriculum, operations, technology, subject-matter experts, assessment, and evaluation. We design for the whole, so the pieces reinforce each other instead of working at cross-purposes.

Build-and-operate

We can establish the function and stay to run it as fractional L&D leadership while the organization grows its capacity. That applies across all three paths: building internal training, designing a credential, or meeting an external standard.

Built to transition

The objective is organizational capability, not consultant dependency. We document as we build, transfer knowledge throughout the engagement, and design every project to end:  with the organization more self-sufficient than when we started.

Who We Are

Ruedin Learning & Performance is an independent consulting practice built on a single conviction: training should change how people perform, not count how many people sat through a session.

That sounds obvious. It rarely is.

Training is often designed with the intent to change behavior; however, most measurement systems can only track attendance and completion. The gap between those two things is where organizations lose money and where the most improvement is hiding.

Ruedin Learning & Performance works with training teams to close that gap.

  • Sometimes that means designing the program.

  • Sometimes it means building the measurement system.

  • Sometimes it means stepping in as fractional leader until the function is stable.

The right place to start depends on where the problem actually is.

Who You Are

You don't need to have "L&D" in your title to be in the right place. You're probably here because of a gap between what your training does and what it was supposed to do.

Do any of these sound like you?

  • You're the one who has to explain the gap. Training is happening, but the performance metrics, customer-satisfaction scores, sales or revenue, certification pass rates, or CE numbers aren't where they should be, and the question is landing on your desk.

  • You inherited a program and were told to make it work. Someone built it before you, or bought it, and now it's yours, with no clear sense of whether it's doing anything or where to start fixing it.

  • You need a program built, but you can't be the one building it. The need is real and the mandate is there, but you don't have the capacity or the in-house expertise to design it yourself.

  • You know your market and your subject cold — you just don't build training. You have the expertise people need and a clear read on demand. What's missing is someone to turn that into a program from the ground up.

  • Your numbers look fine, but nothing's actually changed. Completion is high, attendance is strong, the dashboard is green but people aren't doing the work any differently. You suspect the metrics are measuring the wrong thing.

  • You're scaling past what informal training can carry. What worked when someone just showed the new hire the ropes is breaking down as you grow, and you know you need real structure before you add headcount, but you're just not sure what "real structure" looks like at your stage.

If any of these seem familiar, or you are having other problems, those are the conversations that we are here to help with. Let's figure out what your training is actually doing, and what it would take to achieve the outcomes you want.

Solutions that match your audience.

We make the complex clear; taking hard ideas (a standard, a process, a dense bit of theory) and make them clear enough that a first-year practitioner and a senior leader can both act on them.

Never dumbed down. Just clear.

Change Performance; Measure Outcomes

Training that does not change performance wastes time, money, and trust. Even high quality training can fail if it is not supported by sustainable, scalable systems that measure the change the training is supposed to create.

If your program is falling short of your goals, or your employees are not performing differently despite hours of training, we are here to help.
